An intimate party of 8 joined us at New Farm on Wednesday 30th May for our first In-Kitchen Dining event. They were greeted with a welcome drink and canapés in our newly refurbished cookery school kitchen, followed by a 4 course, sit down meal.
The starter and main – cooked by Jeff Thomas, our Masterchef of Great Britain – was pan-fried black pearl scallops, cauliflower purée and smoked pancetta dust, followed by slow roast shoulder and roast rump of New Season lamb, butternut squash and basil puree, braised salsify, duck fat chateâu potatoes and minted lamb jus.
The guests gathered around the chef’s table to see Chris Scarratt, our Chef de Cuisine, plate his beautiful assiette of desserts which consisted of Chocolate Delice, Creme Brulée and Eton Mess. The guests were thrilled to be ‘in on the action’ and returned to the table to enjoy their chosen dessert. This was followed by a cheese course and coffee, tea & petit fours. The drinks were flowing throughout the night in an incredibly relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The guests commented, “the scallops were fantastic” and “the service was really friendly”. See our courses page for the next exciting event!
